<title>Trip Down South</title>
<description>Took a trip down south with the boys to New South Wales.

Had brekkie @ Nerang Mackers and driving alongside the country was fantabulous. We ringgin&#x27; to Clarrie Hall Dam at Tweeds before going to Nimbin.
Pitstop to buy some fresh country veges and fruits for Carol. While otw to Nimbin, we saw this car newly destroyed by the fire so with the CSI looks on our face, we decided to stop and take some pictures for &#x22;evidence&#x22; hehehehe..

Nimbin: This is THE place for weeds/bikkie/home made cookies/grass/coke etc.
The home for Happy Hippies. On entering the town, u can virtually smell the weeds cooking sumwer. Everywer we go, locals are asking whether we wanna &#x22;supply&#x22;.. Duh! Went visiting to the Bringabong museum, I not impressed
;( coz there is somewhat a mystical &#x22;aura&#x22; about the place. Creepy! Anyway, we had a song in mind: When you&#x27;re happy and you know it bring a bong! Bong Bong!

Next Stop: Byron Bay for lunch first. Walkabout here and there before we decided to start our trip up to the lighthouse. Saw dolphins and turtles but not the manta ray that Dr Cesspool saw last time we were here..dier kene &#x22;diveritis&#x22; pasal ikan pari punyer hal! bleh gitu? asek nak dive ajer! cekik baru tau!

Came back down had a swim with the waves before it gets dark. Because the days are getting shorter, we had to quickly wrap up before 4.30pm and head back to Gold Coast. In the car for about 3 minutes..it starts pouring!! Huhuhu.. Best!

Truly an amazing day with the rights khakis and the right place!

<title>Relay For Life (Gold Coast)</title>
<description>What is Relay For life?
Relay For Life is an overnight team event to raise funds for cancer research, education and patient support programs.

How does it work?

It&#x2019;s a team challenge!
The challenge is for teams of 10 or more to complete a relay-style walk or run at selected venues throughout Australia. Team members take turns to keep their baton moving overnight, enjoying the sensational festive atmosphere created through entertainment, camping, spot prizes and, most importantly, the vibrancy of the hundreds of lively people on the track!

The highlights at each event include the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, the Survivors&#x2019; Walk and the Candlelight Ceremony.

Who can participate?
It is hours of fun and everyone is welcome. This is an event for people of all ages and levels of fitness and is open to everyone in the community, with teams formed between friends, family and workmates.

The clan from GU decided that since it is our last year together in Uni, we do it for the sake of &#x22;brotherhood&#x22;(takkan sisterhood lak kan?)Anyway, got our loved ones to chip in and formed the team, stayed overnight at Council&#x27;s park at Bundall and of coz had fun!! Helping sexual health clinic some recognition..thus the mascot! (our pink dickhead) Had candlelight moments dedicated to my mum..

Free cupcakes from Exclusive Catering..thanks!! Pizza sponsored by Gina and Matthew and tent by the Evans clan..Thanks to Mayumi for the delicious Japanese tuna rice balls..

<title>Trevor&#x27;s Birthday Present</title>
<description>Cooking Mee Hoon Goreng (the Aussies call it Singapore Fried Noodles..Duh?) for Trevor, coz Carol&#x27;s son-in-law birthday today. I thought I won&#x27;t spent heaps coz I don&#x27;t know what to get him in the first place..He loves Asian cooking since his Navy heydays..so when I first came to Aussie settling into Carol&#x27;s house 2 years ago, he asked me whereabouts I&#x27;m from and when he found out Singapore is my origin..naik excited..as expected..he asked &#x22; U know how to cook Singapore Fried Noodles? I pay you to cook it for me! I pay you if u get the ingredients for me!&#x22; Cheydebah..not often eh u get people paying for your crappy cooking..or so I thought..

So 2 and the half years down the road..I have sinned! I gather all my memories of Arwah mak&#x27;s tips in cooking fried noodles and such..so the day before, sauteed chopped garlic in olive oil and kept it overnight (I swore Carol&#x27;s could have killed me for this coz the whole house smelled like garlic of course) explained to Carol that I&#x27;m doing her a favour hokay..I chased the Dracula out of her house for a night and she should sleep better that evening..hehehe.. Fibbers! It turn out beautiful..just as my mum would have cooked it..The only difference is that I marinated the chook in honey and soy..so it was good..really good

So what do I get..A Big Big Hug from Trevor..and for that gesture, just makes my day..*winks*

<title>Mothers&#x27; Day</title>
<description>Carol has been my biggest supporter all this while I&#x27;m in Oz.She can lift a lost soul&#x27;s spirit, she gives her love to everyone unconditionally, she helped me up when I&#x27;m down and she truly knew how to love a child without asking to be repaid. If mum&#x27;s still around..I believe Mum will always agree that she IS my other mother! Guess what..with me helping around the house..I am allowed the Mexican mango that has been sitting in the fridge for the fortnight! Hmm..it pays to be kind..does it??

For my other mother..
When God assigned mothers,
He took into view that maybe their role would require two,
She made in His image, selfless and true,
when God created Mothers, he blessed me with two.

To my Arwah Mum..you knew you always have a place in my heart and
I give you my daily prayers because I know you are out there, somewhere, looking out for me..I love you as I always do..

For my Mum-in-Law,
You stood by me in times of good and bad..Thank you </description>
